Basics of Floristry Design
Being a florist is a most rewarding and exciting career where you can express your creative talents, work with one of nature's beautiful creations and touch the lives of others by helping them communicate through the medium of flowers.
What you will Learn.
In this course you will learn all the basic principles and elements of design needed to create professional floral designs. You will learn how to maintain floristry tools and recognise each of the flowers you use. This course will equip you will the professional skills needed to progress to the next stage of becoming a florist.
Is this course for you?
This course is open to the general public, but particularly to entry level students interested in the floristry business. This is an online certificate course and is particularly applicable to school based trainees, year 10 school leavers and people wishing to gain entry into the floristry business. There are no prerequisites.

Your Instructor
Debby is the owner and head trainer at Flowers to Impress. She is a Dutch master floral designer with over 30 years of experience in four different countries. Debby owned a successful floristry business in Sydney for seven years and designed for a great number of prestige hotels around Sydney.
Debby has participated in international flower competitions and won awards for her innovative designs and fresh approach. Debby’s qualifications in floristry include horticulture, art, flower arranging and design to comprehensively include every aspect of flowers from growing flowers, to arranging cut flowers, to growing the business. Debby completed TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment in April 2011.
